Welcome to our wedding site!  We are so excited to announce our engagement and upcoming wedding to you! Our wedding is scheduled for October 11, 2009 in Geneva on the Lake, Ohio.

On our Website you will find all the information you will need, and then some, about our lives and plans leading up to our wedding. Be sure to stop back often as we will be adding and updating on a regular basis.

Depending on which side of the family is reading this, let us introduce ourselves to those whom have not had the privilege of us doing so.  :o)

Ladies before gents: 
Hi!  I'm Lauren D'Angelo.  I am 23 years old and my birthday is 01/21/86.  (Mark your calendars.)  I grew up in the small village of Wellsville, Ohio, population 4000.  I have one brother, Louie, who is a year older than me and a twin sister, Lyndsy.  We are all very close, including Lyndsy's husband Brennen and Louie's girlfriend Monica.  My mother's name is Sue/Susie, my father's name is Louie (Bud) and my step father's name is Jeff Haugh. We are one big, happy, dysfunctional family. :o)  I have a half-brother whose name is Ryan.  Unfortunately we have lost contact over the years, but I hope that changes some day.

While in High School I was a member of the Honor Society, a cheerleader and belonged to several clubs.  Once graduating high school, I attended Slippery Rock University, which is where I met Steve.   My plans were to major in Special Education, but one semester before graduation, I changed my major and graduated with a BS in Social Science.  I began working for LifeSteps, Inc. while attending school, where I care for adults with a MHMR diagnosis.  Although I love my job and my clients, I am in the process of looking for employment elsewhere to better suite our needs. My plans are to attend law school and become an attorney representing those whom are disabled.

 

Hi!  My name is Steve Hlavek (pronounced Lauvick) and I am 24 years old.  I was born 12/18/84 in Minneapolis, Minnesota where I lived until I was five.  My family and I moved to Pittsburgh, PA and this is where I grew up with my older brother (by four years) Adam.  I went to Upper Saint Clair High School where I was involved in several music groups and I was a very active golfer throughout high school.  After graduating, I attended Slippery Rock University...which is where I met Lauren.  When first attending SRU I majored in Music Performance but then decided to change my major to Finance.  I graduated with a BSBA and am now employed at The Bank of New York Mellon as an Accounting and Reporting Specialist in pension funds.  I am planning to attend school to get my Master's in Finance or a CFA.  Hopefully with these qualifications I will be able to manage mutual funds.

I have really great parents.  My mom's name is Claudia and my dad's name is Ken.  As mentioned, I have an older brother Adam who recently married Liz...whom I adore.
